A great culinary experience, as well as calming yet elevated ambiance and exquisite service to boot! This place is definitely a star on Denver's food scene, and you can't miss it!

Tucked away in Union station, this place is modern, classy, and cozy all at the same time. Clean lines, industrial modern feel, and dark colors make you feel like you're in a secluded spot right in the middle of downtown. We came for dinner on a Sunday night, so it wasn't too crowded, but it felt warm & lively all the same.

The menu is diverse in terms of classic meat options, salads, and unique appetizers, but they can mold any of the dishes to meet any dietary restrictions you have. We were all in the mood for vegetarian food, so we were able to adapt some of their meat dishes by substituting grains and vegetables - and all were amazing! Our waiter had wonderful recommendations for his favorite dishes as well as how to adapt others - he truly knew that menu back to front!

They also have a great cocktail list... I was super excited about my whiskey drink that came with a peach ring (I'd seen it on other reviews!), but when my drink came out the first time, there was no peach ring. I quietly asked the server if there was still supposed to be one, and he quickly said "Yes there should be! We will make that happen!" I figured they had just forgotten it at the bar and it would be a second, but he quickly informed me they were making a special trip out to get me a peach ring. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I was starting to feel bad about my request, but just when I was about to tell them not to worry about it, one of the bartenders showed up to the table with not just a peach ring, but an entirely NEW COCKTAIL! What service! They only charged us for one drink, yet gave me two, and I still got my peach ring. That's stellar service if I've ever seen it.

Seriously, this place is worth a visit. If not for the food, for the service and the great experience you will have. Truly a Denver gem.

Stayed at the Kimpton Born for 2 weeks, so I ordered room service many times from Citizen Rail.  Mostly got the burger for dinner.  I really enjoyed the garlic knot with mozzarella and the Chilequilles for breakfast.  No idea how to spell that.  They put cilantro, chucks of guacamole and sour cream.

The hole in the toad is really weird but tasty.

I much prefer the free coffee from the hotel than the coffee they serve at the restaurant.  Yes...I realize this isn't a review of the hotel.

Met some girlfriends for brunch on a Sunday and made reservations in advance.  Turns out we probably didn't need them at 11am, because the restaurant had plenty of seating left.

Our server was very attentive and knowledgable, and even happily obliged our (annoying) request to add an additional chair when I realized I had miscounted for the reservation.

For brunch they have a select list of cocktails that are 2-for-1, which was a great deal considering the higher menu prices typically associated with downtown restaurants.  I ordered two different ones to try, both of which were well-balanced between sweet/bitter/tart and absolutely delicious.

For brunch I ordered the poached eggs and greens which were presented just as beautifully as they were delicious to eat!  I was able to sample some bites from my friends' meals and all were very good, especially the Eggs in a Hole, of which the eggplant was done to perfection!

Peeking at their dinner menu, I already can't wait to come back!
